Contract type: Fixed Term - 1 year with option to extend
Hours: Weekdays- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri 8:30am - 3:15pm, Term Time only

Overview: Come and join our small school with a BIG heart.
We are looking for a kind and caring person to support a child with additional needs as they transition from nursery to school. To navigate the day safely and help them gain the most out of the school experience.
A Typical Day:
8:30am -Liaise with class teacher. Prepare and adapt resources for lessons, with guidance from the teacher.
8:45am -Welcome the child into school and help them to get settled. Show them a visual timetable of the day- with pictures.
9am - Support in lessons.
10:30am - Own Break
10:45am - Support the child on the playground at playtime. Engage the child in play activities, encouraging socialisation with peers.
11am - Support in lessons.
12:00pm - Support the child in eating a healthy, balanced school-cooked meal.
12:30pm - Own Lunch Break
1pm - Support playtime
1:10pm - Support in lessons.
2:30pm - Run SEND support plan interventions- organised by the school SENDCo and Class Teacher.
3pm - Filing, tidying/ writing up notes from the day / preparations for the next day /discussions with the class teacher.
3:15pm Finish
The role is ideally suited to a current LSA or a nursery nurse / nursery practitioner wishing to gain school experience or a recent graduate wishing to gain school experience or a parent with experience of caring for children. We are seeking candidates who are open to inclusion and equity.
