Home Learning

Firstly, you've got this!

The reason I have this certainty is that we work with your amazing children every day. Their kindness, curiosity and love of learning continually astounds us. Those qualities have come from you; parents are first teachers and your children have learnt their morals, sense of fairness and understanding from your modelling.

Secondly, home is not school.

Home is a safe place for children where they can relax, play and have emotional support. No need to be their teacher, think of yourself as a facilitator. Provide opportunities for them to discover and own their learning. Remember, an hour’s learning in a class full of children may be the same as 20 minutes one-to-one at home– don’t feel you need to be sat at a table all day! Be active, learn life-skills, get fresh air, laugh lots and enjoy all the extra cuddles.

Thirdly, we are here for you.

We have created practical, hands on learning that can be created at home, whilst having lots of fun along the way. The school emails will be checked daily and we would love to see your home learning photos and messages. If you are happy for your learning/pictures to go up on our home learning page, to share with the school community, let us know in your email.

Lastly, we are in it together!
