Good afternoon everyone!
It’s been a very hot week in Deer Class, well done to all the children for keeping as cool and cheerful as possible.
In English, we’ve been exploring autobiographies, looking at their key features and learning how to write our own.
In maths, we revisited money, focusing on pence, pounds, and how they combine. The children have done brilliantly applying their knowledge in practical tasks.
In DT, we continued our picture book project and created a lever mechanism of Jack climbing up his giant beanstalk, a lovely hands‑on challenge that everyone enjoyed.
In science, we’ve been carefully looking after our caterpillars, who have now transformed into chrysalises! The children are very excited to see what happens next.
And of course, we’ve been working hard practising our country dancing in preparation for both our Country Dancing event and Dropmore next week.
It’s been a hot and busy week, but a fantastic one!
