This week, our Owls started off by having a Beach Day! This coincided perfectly with our topic of Charming Coastlines. We carried out many activities such as pebble painting, creating wind socks and leading our very own 'Fish and Chip' shop!
In D&T this week we used our knowledge to create a slider. The children worked hard and had wonderful creative ideas for their slider. This will help us to create a seaside slider in a few weeks time.
In English this week we have explored a poem called 'The Soundkeeper' which is all about sounds heard at the seaside. The children then created their own Soundkeeper poem about a trip they enjoyed.
In Maths, our Owls have been learning about money. They have been carrying out practical activities using pretend coins. This will help build their skills of recognising the difference between different coins.
In Science, we made predictions about the most common minibeast that can be found in our outdoor area. Our little Owls wrote their findings on post-it notes with their partners. We then created a class bar chart and recorded our findings on our worksheets! Well done Owls!
