We’ve had a busy start to the final half term of Year 2 in Deer Class!
In English, we’ve begun our new book Zog. This week, the children have written first‑person diary entries and described landscapes from the story, using lots of emotive and descriptive language to bring their ideas to life.
In maths, we have been learning how to problem‑solve as a whole class, talking through strategies and working together to find the best methods.
Our topic this half term is geography, and we are learning how to read and create maps, thinking carefully about symbols, keys and directions.
In P.E., we are continuing our country dancing journey, and we’ve also started practising for our upcoming Sports Day, which the children are already very excited about.
It has been a productive and positive week for us in Deer Class!
