What an exciting end to the half term we’ve had in Deer Class!
This week, in preparation for our trip to Mop End, we have been researching newts and creating our own non‑fiction fact files about them in English.
In maths, we’ve been exploring mass and weight, getting hands‑on with scales and comparing different objects.
On Wednesday, we enjoyed our fantastic trip to Mop End, where we went pond dipping to discover a range of amphibians, and bug hunting in the woods to find all sorts of creepy crawlies. The children were brilliant naturalists for the day.
We’re still working hard rehearsing our country dancing, and it has really come together beautifully.
In art, we explored the work of Andy Goldsworthy and created our own pieces of land art inspired by his style with our own creative twist, of course.
I hope you all have a lovely and restful half term.
