This week, our lovely Foxes have been looking at real-life superheroes as part of their 'People Who Help Us' topic. Our book of the week was 'One Hundred Steps: Captain Sir Tom Moore' and in Literacy the children have been writing sentences about what they might like to be when they grow up. In Maths, we have been consolidating our knowledge of subtraction in our number bonds work. During our Understanding the World sessions, we looked at what some real-life superheroes have done to help us; we looked at the life of Captain Sir Tom Moore, and Sir David Attenborough and all his work with animals and the environment. We did our Gymnastics outside in the sunshine this week, choosing to focus on our listening and coordination skills. 

Foxes loved their small animals encounter from Ark Farm. They enjoyed petting and feeding a range of different animals and learning about them. They even got to stroke a hedgehog! Thank you so much for your generous contributions to make this special visit possible. 

During our exploring time, the Foxes have been doing the following activities:

- Using their phonic knowledge to practise writing their tricky words and CVC words,

- Developing their fine motor skills in our Fruit Salad making,

- Reading fiction and non-fiction books in our Reading Corner,

- Refining our fine motor skills outside by using chalk to draw,

- Developing our gross motor skills in the Castle Area
