It’s been a wonderfully busy week in Deer Class!
In English, we explored what makes effective instructional writing and even followed our own instructions to create recycled friendship bracelets using plastic bags. In Maths, the children got hands-on with 2D shapes, learning how to build and spot repeating patterns and discussing what makes a pattern successful.
In DT, we made our potato salads — which I’m sure you heard all about — and they were very tasty! We’ve also been practising for our Easter assembly, perfecting Hot Cross Buns on the chime bars. In Art, the children sketched still-life daffodils and then used watercolours to bring them to life. These beautiful paintings will be proudly displayed during our assembly.
It truly has been an action‑packed week for Deer Class!
