This week in Owl class, we were busy baking! We followed a recipe very carefully to bake cheese scones. We used all the skills we have learnt such as rubbing butter in to flour and mixing. Later on, we tasted our cheese scones and evaluated the taste, texture and appearance of the scones. We all loved them! In Maths this week, we have been continuing to work with numbers to 20. We have been practising the skill of doubling numbers to 20. We practised this practically and through written questions. In English this week our book of the week has been 'Jonty Gentoo, the adventures of a penguin'. We loved hearing about Jonty's adventures around the world to get to the South Pole. We wrote fact files all about Gentoo penguins.
