What a wonderfully busy week we’ve had in Deer Class!

    Art

We continued our Quentin Blake illustration project by exploring watercolour techniques. The children experimented with shading and learnt how adjusting the balance of paint and water can create different tones and effects. Their finished pieces are full of character and creativity.

    Science

Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as we designed and built miniature habitat dioramas inside shoeboxes. Each child selected a habitat of interest and carefully crafted the features, plants, and animals that bring it to life.

    Maths

In maths, we have been deepening our understanding of division. The children practised sharing equally into groups and used a range of manipulatives to support their learning. This hands-on approach has really helped to strengthen their confidence.

    Gymnastics

During our gymnastics sessions, we explored a variety of jumps and focused on how to land safely. The week ended with the children creating their own unique sequences, showcasing both skill and imagination.
