It's autumn and Deer Class are embarking on the next phase of their learning. We have a new class text called 'Vlad and the Great Fire of London'. It follows two friends, a rat and a flea, as they escape from the bakery in Pudding Lane and make their way through the blazing streets. After reading the story together, we began by collecting adjectives to describe the main characters.
Our new science topic is 'Materials and their Uses'. The children investigated some everyday objects and decided what they were made from. They then grouped the objects into wood, metal, plastic, glass and fabric.
In computing, we are learning how to take good photographs, beginning with pictures of each other!
Christmas is on the horizon and Deer Class have designed their own reindeer-themed Christmas cards.
Finally, the clay snails that we made before half-term were ready to be painted this week. Look at our escargatoire!
