Deer Class have been telling each other how they look after their pets. They learnt about taking care of animals in science lessons.

In preparation for our school Harvest Assembly, we made origami carrots and parsnips! The children found the paper sculptures quite tricky to make, but they persevered. The results are impressive!

Our joined up handwriting skills are developing well. This week we concentrated on letters with descenders. The children were able to sit the letters on the line and form them in a cursive style with loopy tails.

In maths this week, we worked with 'fact families'. Using 3 related numbers, the children composed addition and subtraction number sentences e.g. 6+5=11, 5+6=11, 11-6=5 and 11-5=6.
