It’s been a wonderfully busy week in Deer Class, and I hope you’ve all had a lovely week too.

In English, we continued our Great Fire of London topic. This week, we explored what makes an effective diary entry and had a go at writing our own, imagining what it might have been like to experience the fire first‑hand.

In Maths, we have been representing numbers in lots of different ways, using practical resources to help deepen understanding. The children really enjoyed getting hands‑on.

In Art, we learnt about the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo and tried recreating his famous fruit‑based portraits through collage. The results were wonderfully creative.

In R.E, we focused on routines, why they matter, how they help us, and the different routines we follow at school.

In History, we uncovered more facts about the Great Fire of London and explored how the city changed forever after the event.

It’s been a fantastic week in Deer Class.
