It has been yet another lovely week for our Foxes with plenty of learning. Our book of the week has been 'The Under the Sea Cleaning Spree' and we have been writing sentences on how we could keep our beaches clean in Literacy. In Maths this week, we have looked at height and extended our mathematical vocabulary using words such as 'tallest and shortest.' In our Understanding the World sessions, we have been looking at how to take care of our oceans and the importance behind it. Our Foxes also had Transition Morning this week, which they were all very happy with and loved spending the morning in Owl Class. In Forest School, the Foxes were making potions, going on bug hunts and practising their gross motor skills with rope walks and swings. 

We have been consolidating our learning this week through the following activities:

- Looking for all the litter in our Under the Sea small world tuff tray

- Using their fine motor skills to thread wool to paper plates to make jellyfish

- Creating their own 'save the ocean' posters

- Exploring sea creatures in the water tray

- Constructing different bins out of building blocks to keep litter out of the sea

- Refining their cutting accuracy when making under the sea paper chains

- Building submarines in the construction area

- Looking for all the plastic we have in the classroom

- Talking about the importance of cooking food properly when making our pizzas.
