This week, our Foxes have continued their learning on Under the Sea. Our book of the week was, 'Commotion in the Ocean' and we looked at labelling the different parts of a shark using our phonics knowledge in Literacy. In our Maths lessons this week, we have been looking at capacity and using the terms 'Full,' 'Nearly Full,' 'Half Full,' 'Nearly Empty,' and 'Empty.' We even extended our knowledge by ordering capacity from 'Least' to 'Most.' In Understanding the World this week, our Foxes have been learning all about the oceans of the world and which of our favourite see creatures live in which of the five oceans. 

Foxes completed their first Sports Day! Well done Foxes! They all showed kindness and courage to each other, cheering everyone on and showing lots of perseverance. 

We have been extending and consolidating our learning in the following activities:

- Refining our cutting and sticking skills to make a blue whale scene

- Using the water tray to explore full, half full and empty

- Developing our fine motor skills with chunky chalk 

- Exploring sea creatures in our Under the Sea tuff tray

- Strengthening the muscles in our hands with ocean playdough

- Practising our sentence writing using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops

- Showing responsibility for our outdoor equipment by helping to clean 

- Working together as a team to complete a bug hunt in Forest School.
