This week in Deer Class we’ve had a busy yet very productive week.
In both maths and English, we completed some SAT‑style ‘challenge booklets’. Everyone in Deer Class approached these brilliantly — you should all feel incredibly proud of your hard work and determination.
We’ve also continued working hard in P.E., refining our country dancing in preparation for Dropmore. It’s really coming together beautifully now.
In science, we’ve been exploring different pond habitats as we get ready for our trip to Mop End next Wednesday.
In topic, we’ve focused further on Florence Nightingale’s later life, organising her major life events in chronological order and deepening our understanding of her impact.
In Art this week we made some amazing artwork using sponges and paint to print lovely patterns.
We also took part in our whole school chocolate line on Wednesday, in which Deer Class won!
And in R.E., we’ve been drawing comparisons between the different places of worship we’ve researched over the half term, thinking carefully about what makes each one special.
