This week, our lovely Owls have been learning about a book called 'Dear Chocosaur'. We have been learning the features of a letter and wrote our very own letter to a dinosaur from the book!
In Maths, we have been learning about quarters and understanding this concept. We have been engrossed in practical activities when learning how to create quarters using objects such as cubes.
In Science, we have been learning about edible plants. Our lovely Owls discovered that some vegetables are parts of a plant such as the stem or the root!
For PSHE, we had a discussion about things that we might need or want. The children had to sort some cards with objects on such as clothes, toys and vegetables. Was it a need or a want?
In our Art lesson, we created our very own fossils using pasta, buttons and salt dough!
In Forest School, we were introduced to small tools such as palm drills. We were able to use these to make wooden necklaces! We also discovered lots of stones from the ground and pretended to be Palaeontologists!
We have also planted some vegetables such as courgettes, peppers and carrots in our garden! Amazing week Owl Class!
