Happy Friday from Deer Class!

We’ve had a wonderfully busy week in Deer Class.

In English, we’ve been exploring poetry and linking it to our topic of colour. The children even had a go at writing their own poems, making sure to include some lovely similes and expanded noun phrases.

In Maths, we’ve dived into all things time — focusing on half past, quarter past, quarter to, and telling the time in five‑minute intervals. The children have shown great determination with this tricky skill.

In Science, we’ve been learning about different habitats and the animals that live in them, thinking carefully about how each creature is suited to its environment.

In Art, we came together as a class to use our print‑making skills to create a beautiful collaborative tapestry. It was a real team effort and it looked fantastic.

I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend!
