This week the children visited The Amersham Museum. They all had a wonderful time exploring old and new toys in Victorian times. We even had some wonderful workshops and created toys from the past! This linked brilliantly to our topic 'Terrific Toys'.
In Maths this week, we have been exploring length and height. We have been using the language longer, shorter and taller. We have also been measuring objects using non- standard units of measure such as cubes.
In Art this week we used all of our knowledge and skills in collage to create a collage of a toy. The children created wonderful pieces of artwork using a range of textures and colours.
In English, we have been creating story maps linked to Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have also had some good discussions on how Goldilocks could have made different choices to the one she made in the book!
We have also been making a beautiful Mother's Day Surprise for our Mummies and all of our special ladies in our lives. Well done Owls!
