We’ve been hard at work in Deer Class this week!
On Monday, we began a brand-new English text, One Plastic Bag. It sparked some brilliant discussions about the environment and helped us think carefully about the importance of recycling.
In maths, we continued exploring statistics, with a particular focus on interpreting and creating block diagrams. The children have shown great confidence as their skills develop.
Wednesday’s science lesson saw the start of our seed germination experiment. Everyone made thoughtful predictions, and we’re excited to observe how our seeds change over the next few weeks.
On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day in style! The children arrived dressed as characters from their favourite stories, filling the classroom with colour and imagination. We sketched and painted our chosen characters before writing detailed character descriptions.
It has been a fun, creative, and busy week in Deer Class, and we’re proud of everything the children have achieved.
