This week in class we will be revising the 'ou' sound as in 'pound, found, sound'.
We will also be practising using our phonics to read real and alien words.
Our Common exception words this week are:
Year 1 CEWs: is, his, you, your, they
Year 2 CEWs: pass, class, grass
To help consolidate your child's phase 5 phonic knowledge, please have a look at this powerpoint with them. If you notice that there are some sounds which your child isn't confident with, please could you practise them at home and draw attention to them when your child comes across them in their reading books.
